Thomas Reiners and Sven-Holger Wabnitz  founded DSS in 1997 in Bonn. As a graduate mathematician, Mr. Reiner has expert knowledge of IT security and Mr. Wabnitz has profound know-how in domain management and workflow technologies. Together these constituted the solid basis of their company. By virtue of this competency the successful company now has about 25 employees.

At that time DSS filled a niche of the market with their product DomiNIC^®. Hence DSS is now especially adept in dealing with the numerous processes in domain management.

This means that the products of DSS are state of the art solutions to domain management and workflow mapping. With more than 250 Top Level Domains from different countries, combined with varying systems and policies, domain management is a very complex task.
