DomiNIC is a multitenant application and as such provides support for the registration of different types of clients within the system which can then be assigned individual user rights and access to functions.
This is achieved by means of a tree structure which reflects the different hierarchical layers of the clients. Domains always branch off a client of the tree and they can only be viewed and worked on by the specific client or a higher-ranking client, respectively. This is comparable to user accounts which can be assigned to the clients by users of the same or a higher-ranking level. The new user can at most be issued the same level of user rights as the user who is setting up the new user account.
A client can act as a reseller and sell on domains to his customers. DomiNIC enables him to image his complete client base within the software by expanding the tree structure vertically. The reseller administration tools allow for the configuration of numerous parameters such as e.g. the sales prices of the reseller. The reseller is able to use the full feature set of the DomiNIC domain and customer administration tools for his customers and he can adapt the layout of the application as well as all automatically generated documents to his own corporate design.
